Keith,

For $75 you can get a new title done withhttp://www.its-titles.com/. Great
folks and fast. They will send you a title in your name for the bike from
their state and all you have to do is go to your DMV and get a new State
title for Illinois. Easy as pie. :)

My frame and engine match, but ehre is te strange thing. Went to file for a
lost title, from Wisconsin, and they said that the 5 digit number could not
be the vin and I needed to have the state reissue a new vin!
Told the girl that I willc all abck another time when I can get someone to
talk to who knows the older bike vin system.

I will send it to you soon Paul.

Neil,

A list of sorts is being kept of all VIN's that we have been able to
track down. This is only for historical/reference purposes. I have yet
to do a write up for Greg Bender to give the ranges of VIN's for V700,
Ambo and Eldo's. But I can give you an idea of what year and possibly
the month of the motor if you do not have matching numbers or a data
plate.

For all those who wish to have their VIN added to the record, just
send me an email offline to paullinn (at) comcast . net with the data
on your VIN plate found on the steering neck and your location. If you
can also include if you have a 4 shoe or disc that would be great. To
date we have over
328
Loops recorded.

thanks.. by engine number mine should have gears then...gonna have to
have a proper look as its got a rattle which i was hoping was just a
worn timing chain!

another question - are frame and engine numbers supposed to match?
mine are nothing like each other so hopefully not! also I was looking
on the internet to see if there was info regarding estimated build
dates for engine/frame numbers.. not found it yet - anyone any clues?
Neil.
