I agree. If I drive lite on the throttle, I can get 16 MPG in my 34 ton
chevy work van loaded with heavy tools. I like to calculate gas milage when
my co-worker is with me cause it annoys him. He only gets 15 in his SUV with
no load.
If you tailgate less, you dont waste energy though the friction of
constant braking and reacceleration.
My constant goal every afternoon on my commute home on the Eldo is to
never put my feet down. If I dont stop, the car behind me doesnt stop and
the car behind them, etc thus forcing them to get better milage also. I
doubt they appreciate it. Occaissionally, someone screams at me for leaving
a 100 ft. buffer in front of me "get up there, you SOB"
You can by them books and send them to school, but they just tear out the
pages and use them in the little house out back.
