We're halfway. The Italian group is off alone down through Colorado to Moab, UT. I'm resting in Denver playing golf with my brother. I'll catch up. I needed a break from the very intensive babysitting. We've already had 5 police incidents (full reports to follow later). The Italian style driving is making me nuts. I had to serve as translator at the Harley motor factory outside Milwaukee. I had to escort a group into downtown Sturgis at the height of the trailer festival. We've only had a few breakdowns. Fixed most. One old BMW with a dead starter will require push starts for the second half of the trip. Not a show stopper. One minor parking lot crash to a Triumph Speed Triple. Weather reports have been rediculous. We had an "occasional" shower report for Minnesota and drove 250 miles in the rain, some of it quite intense. We had a "steady rain" tapering to "frequent showers" report in Rapid City. Drove two miles in a mist and then never saw another drop. I've stopped looking at forecasts. I'm riding up to Wyoming tomorrow to visit my horse wrangler son and then down to re-join the tour in southern Utah on Friday. Home in San Francisco the following Wednesday.
