Sorry to hear that, Charlie. I wish now that I had gone to the rally so
that I could see your bike (and thank you in person for your advice.)
Just think of it as patina.

During the restoration, I had my brother weld up some cracks to that
area and it fractured right beside the weld. Guess I'll clean the area,
have it welded and then paint it. Not going to repowder the whole frame!





Plan to install rear crashbars to help conceal the area (and maybe lend
some strength as well). Sophia continues to break my heart! Never doing
a full restoration again, just too hard to take when something happens
to it. :-(
