We've added a bunch of new members lately, probably ten in the
last two
months. The Loopframe_Guzzi list is now at 276 subscribers.

As is tradition here, how about our new (or even not so new)
members
"stand up in front of the class" and tell us about yourself, your
Loop,
what other bikes you've had in the past, etc. Always fun to hear
of
others experiences.

Something like this:
Hi, I'm Charlie Mullendore from Gapland, MD and I'm an Amboholic.
Have
been since '97 when I bought my '69 from a friend. It helped me
through
some tough times back then (divorce and loss of employment) and
fueled
my desire for more and more. Now it's gotten quite out of hand.
With two
complete riders (the mostly original '69 and "Sophia" my '72 last
winters project), three basketcases (a '70 and 2-'71s) and almost
enough
stuff to build three more, I'm in pretty deep. I've had Guzzis
since '84
(Convert, SP, LM IV, Mille GT, 850T), Morinis, Cagivas, Capriolo,
Zundapp, CZ/Jawas, and the usual Japanese stuff (mostly RD and XS
Yamahas) worked on others (BMW,DKW) and rode whatever my brother
happened to own (Ducatis and BMWs). Never found anything that fits
my
personality nearly as well as a Loop. But it's not just the bike,
it's
the people who own them too. Most likely wouldn't have met Dave
Otis
(and became keeper of this list) or any of the other great folks
on this
list if I hadn't bought that first Ambo.
Cheers,

In case any of our newer members are wondering what the heck
we're
talking about, a list has been compiled by Ian Adkins (and Paul
Linn
also?) of all Loopframe Guzzis known to still exist. The list is
not
used for any commercial purposes (spam), only as a matter of
interest to

other Loopers.

Last I spoke with Ian he was quite busy with other things and
hadn't the

time to update the list for a while. He's also interested in
selling
some of his Loop collection if anyone is interested. Contact him
at:

I've been looking for the looplist page (online list of
loops/vins/owners/etc) but it seems my URL no longer works.
Anyone know

what happened? If someone has the data, I'll be happy to post
it on my

website (just don't want to step on any toes).
