Subject; Topica. I have also had troubled posting on Topica. I get
the newsletter in digest form and the only way to post a message is to
reply to it like an email. I tried to find a "contact us" on the
Topica site but couldn't so I just gave up. In Ron Komoroski's post he
mentions posting to "both lists." What does this mean. Maybe my
problems are due less to them than to my lack of computer prowess if I
have to ask that question. Shiny Mike in Tucson.

I'm looking for some extra, extra-long throttle/clutch cables for a
Califorina (I'm thinking about apes).

Didn't I see a note here from someone who had some custom cables made?
Any
other suggestions?

Thanks,

Charlie,
Man, Topica is really screwed up! I think some of my posts are getting
through, (I've gotten responses off list). Afew messages have
trickled in,
so they know I exist, but I can't even get into their site. They won't
recognize my passwords (on either of two different e-mail addys) & they
won't send me new ones. As I said before, I've been into the firewall
program that lynchburg.net provides & lowered the settings. No
messages from
topica are showing up in the spam folders (they have in the past,
usually
with " BULK,BULK" attached). I've also checked the Norton & Zone Alarm
protection programs in my own computer & can't find anything wrong.
This
isn't the first time I've gone round&round with Topica, I would NOT
miss
them if the lists were moved to a new home.
Ron Komoroski
PS. I decided to copy this to both lists so folks know I'm not
replying for
reasons beyond my control.

Hi,
I needed to replace the rubber plug on the starboard side of the Eldo
trans box plus fill the hole on the port side where the shift linkage
used to go before I switched to floorboards. Took the old beat-up plug
to Lowes and found the following which fit perfectly, after carving a
bunch off the length:
Hillman rubber stopper 3/4 x 9/16 x 1
