While we are on the subject of floorboards, do any of you that have them on
your old bike experience high vibration at hiway speed? Mine vibrate enough
to make my feet tingle. Is the timing off a little on the motor or is this
normal?

Since the floorboards are rigid mounted and all you have to insulate the
vibration of the road and motor is a 1/8 inch piece of rubber, yes it sounds
normal to me. Since the boards are actually Harley-Davidson, you have another
option. HD came out with an anti-vibration floorboard in the late 70's-early
80's. The boards are the same size as the old type but have little rubber
cushions between the pad and board. The HD OEM number is 50603-74TA. You should
be able to get them from any HD dealer, but you would save money buying them on
the after market from J-P Cycles or USA Twins.

Cheers,

Dave
