Dave,

Wish I coulda done that, my driveway is icy and I have to use 4x4 to get up
it. ( hey Ian, wanna try my driveway with ice? I know you Canadians are
tough!)

After spending a weekend in the country trying to get up hills....no thanks.
I've had my fill of snow for the season. I'm ready to ride!

Ian

Where have all the loop framers gone? Someone must have gotten something

My present was a 200 mi ride. A very warm New Year's eve. Went with a
bunch of guys on expensive sport tourers. Still pretty damn
cold. Started out on gieger grade--the super twisty road to Virginia
City, and then down the back side--known only as "the truck route"--even
tighter turns. Crisp, but bright sunshine, some major leaning, although
no frame dragging. Pretty well kept up with the fast group.

The Eldo purred thru Virginia City--at least the guy in front of said
that's what it sounded like.

We then did some 80-90 runs thru the desert-beautiful rolling hills of
sage and mountains all around. A great meatball sandwich at a little place
between two small towns in Smith Valley, and a run back into Reno at the
base of the Sierra Nevada.

The Guzzi did well, although I lost horn and turn signals and a couple of
the indictorlite bezels vibrated off. WFO was ng--I think I need smaller
mains.

In spite of minor stuff, a glorious day!
