Welcome John!
Sorry I don't know much about the conversion. My Eldo had it done by the
previous owner and I've had no problems at all.
Glad to see another one of us NC guys on here. I'm just across the "ocean"
in Lenoir. Do you go to the Arby's gathering on Thursdays?
Maybe we'll meet.
Chris in NC
'74 Eldo civ.

<DIV>Greetings fellow loopframers.</DIV>
<DIV>I am tinkering with the idea of converting my 73.5 eldo 850 to a 1000. My other eldo had this done and I was very happy with the extra torque but that bike was an unfortunate victim of serious floods and hurricanes. My 850 runs fine except for a mystery noise which may be a camshaft knock but I would like more torque if possible. My questions are............</DIV>
<DIV>Should I do it?</DIV>
<DIV>Estimated cost?</DIV>
<DIV>What should I watch out for? (Red flags)</DIV>
<DIV>Anything else???</DIV>
<DIV>Also, allow me to introduce myself to the list. My name is John in Hickory, N.C. Have ridden Guzzi eldos since the mid 1980's. Have owned 2 eldos and 1 Harley 49 Panhead plus 1 Honda cb750. Have been riding motorcycles since 1973. That's when I saw the motorcycle version of baseball cards where I saw my first Guzzi Loopframe and I have been hooked on them ever since. Thanks to everyone on the list.</DIV>
