I'd say pretty important. Without the clamps (no muffs on yet) the header seems pretty flimsy. With them in place it is rock solid. at 15 bones a peice, it seems a very good, inexpensive item to have on board.

How important is it to have these clamps? mine came with a one broken one (unattached) and then nothing on the other side. Thanks Pete 71 Ambo
