I am feeling bad, you guys obviously had a good time, I worked Wed and =
Thur, to get Norine ready, I didn't have time to finish all of her, so I =
put an unrestored tank and a real cruddy windshield on her ( I was going =
to steal the name Skuzzy Guzzy as Mike doesn't deserve it anymore since =
his restoration) just so I could make the trip. She ran like a top, but =
after approx 50 miles? into the trip (Yes I was going and I was riding =
with Charlie M. I don't know what he told you but I was on my way). My =
transmission started making a lot of noise all of a sudden, (at least it =
sure sounded like that) so we pulled over to check it out and I pulled =
the plug on my rear to find a bunch of shavings floating in it, I =
decided not to continue but to head on home instead. I am glad I did, =
the nut on the pinion gear had backed off., she got me home ok (but got =
noisier and noisier). And the weekend was not a total loss as my wife =
felt sorry for me and spent the weekend riding the EV with me, this may =
not sound like such a great thing, but she last rode with me 18 years =
ago and now she all of a sudden likes it again. (I took her to Devil's =
Backbone , Charlie you know where that is) Anyway that is my sad but =
happy ending story, I gave the tee shirts to Charlie, did anyone get =
one? I might even get her to ride to the next rally with me, but that =
means I'll have to give up my solo seats.
