Chad,
I am not a mechanic (just somewhat mechanically inclined) but I did install
Nikasil kit in my 69 ambo this winter and it turned out OK. Bike isn't
running great right now but that is an electrical problem. I would be happy
to let you know what I did and guide you along if I can. One thing I did
stumble on is that when you install the wrist pins in the pistons you must
chill the wrist pins in the freezer, put them in a baggie first. And, you
must also heat the pistons. Some guys dip the pistons in a hot oil bath and
some heat them with a burzomatic torch. The tip I have for you is to heat
the pistons with a heat gun. This is a much more even heat than any torch
and less messy than the oil bath. Write back and give me some specific
questions. Best, Bob Hawkes

Hello,
Does anyone have any useful tips for installing cylinders in an 67v7? Just
got word that my new nikasil cylinder kits were just dropped off by the
ups
man. I am going to be busy this weekend.
Chad

Hey Kev, At least you said thanks before starting to complain. Now
go to the store, pick up a 12 pack and start working out to fit into the
thing.

One thing though, How big do you think I am?

Jeeze that,s a big shirt. Maybe if I drink enough beer I'll grow

it.
