You got that right! I would make sure my umbrella policy covered that !
I took out a multi million dollar policy a few years ago in case one of
my neighbors decided my high powered AM station caused birth defects in
there last batch of pedigreed poodles ! Ya never know!
I would build the tools and farm out the tubing and forging work. But I
have been told a European manufacturer is about to release some soon ,so
it is a game of wait and see. I love to see these old loops brought back
to life. I did three this year and hope to do four next year. But my
first love is Brit bikes and I would love to do a Panther and maybe a
little Sunbeam s-8 shaft drive I have my eye on .It's been a while since
I played with a bevel geared round case Ducati too!

Gary, I too had thought about making them. But it was pointed out that
the
liability in this society is a bit steep. SO if you do print in bold on
the
reciept.."For display purposes only" this is the CYA trend for most home

engineered bits. thanks to our lovely litigious society.

If you have someone who can fabricate the tubular subframes or if you
can do it yourself ,you can space the mounting tabs to accept any
commercially made board you want to use.
The sub frames could be made from a combination of steel tube and
flat

stock properly welded and metal finished you couldn't tell them apart
from originals.
If you don't have a pair for a model I can measure up a pair of mine
and send you some drawings to help in fabrication. I have been thinking
about makung a couple dozen sets of these over winter.
Of course you will still need control levers and they could also be
made from weldments ,provide you use a CAPABLE weldor. You can use the
stock brake lever,it will work. Again some good metal detailing and
chrome plating will get you a good pedal . The rest of the linkage
should be pretty straightfoward .
Foot boards are very easy to like ,it sure is hard for most folks to
go

 back to pegs ! :-)

I have pegs on my Eldorado and am thinking
about some some floorboards.

I have seen the original police MG and HD examples
and would like to know how they compare.
Any problems fitting HD type?
Suggestions to cheap alternatives?

Thanks

Todd
