To Bowes picked one up at Autozone auto parts for about the same price.
He got a pretty good cross section of local prices on VW regulators
before finding out the generator was toast! I think the low price was
around $22 and the high was $25 ,here in the Detroit area. Probably went
through enough regulators to create a shortage so if they take thier
lead from the oil companies you can expect VW regulator prices to
skyrocket :-) !
