For what it's worth, here's what I did..
My gen mounting holes into the block were ruined on a coupla different
motors. What I did was to drill 'em out a little and J.B. Weld a stud
into the exsisting holes. This is a very strong hold. The gen itself has
some spacers under it to keep it level in the gen. bracket. This helps
more.
Then I did something that I had seen on a coupla other Eldos. I ran some
bar stock up from the the gen. bracket to the U frame above the motor
and put a bolt in there.. I needed to bend them in some to fit cleanly,
but now my generators are rock solid.
