Well guys, I don't want to do it, but I NEED to sell my '71 Ambassador.
Just
too much competition for my time, money and garage space right now, and
somethings gotta give.
Ian talked me out of selling it about a year ago, but frankly I barely rode
it enough to keep the battery charged over the last 12 months. She deserves
an owner that will use her the way a loopframe is meant to be used.
As I said, she's a '71 Ambo, speedo only, big sidecovers, Wixom bags, bar
end mirrors, no fairing or windscreen. Nice blue paint, all chrome,
including tank side panels is in good shape. Not an immaculate show bike,
but a very nice rider. Mechanically stock except for K&N filter in original
airbox.
Only mechanical problems are that the speedometer reads fast, and the valve
guides are getting worn. Not a problem in ordinary use, but if it gets
really hot, the oil vapors can cause some pinging. That's it. Otherwise
she's absolutely good to go.
Asking price is $3500.00, which I think is fair, but I'll entertain offers,
especially from anyone on the list, 'cause I know she'll be getting a good
home, and that's important.
If anyone can suggest sites where I can post some pics and information to
help get her sold, I'd appreciate it.

Jay Williams
