I've been experiencing a sporadic lack of total disengagement when
pulling in the clutch on my Eldo. The bike wants to go forward and only
the brake is holding it still and I have to keep the revs up to prevent
stalling. And it always seems to happen at the most inopportune time -
at a stop sign on a hill with a SUV right on my tail.
I pulled the tranny off this weekend and found that the clutch input
hub (attached to the tranny input shaft) had two notches warn into the
splines. The two notches align with the clutch plates. Guzziology sez
to replace the old 'shallow' spline hub with the new 'deeper' spline
hub. Has anyone done this and did it help?
