Subject: Battery tray & hold down suggestions

I want to repaint the battery tray and hold down since they are out of
the bike whilst I do something about the clutch. Been using aircraft
paint stripper to do all the hard work. But I don't want to repaint it
with regular paint since any battery acid will eat it alive. In the
Eastwood catalog, they have a spray can of 'battery tray coating' which
appears to be some sort of rubberized coating. Has anyone tried it?
