Hey JB - Thanks for posting your photos, much appreciated. I added them to
my collection. I particularly appreciate that you didn't post photos of me
cracking a plumbers smile, or worse.

Some of the more knowledgeable folks may want to correct me, but I'll take a
stab at your questions and throw in some comments. The bike in the photos
titled small block is a LM3, and I believe it is ridden by a guy named
Andrew Murray. I hope I got his name right, hadn't met him before last
week, I think he may be from one of the Carolina's. Really a nice guy and
looks to be a heck of a rider, taking at least one first place on a
basically stock 850LM3. I believe the guy on the spine frame bike (looks
like the Stan's Moto Guzzi of Gainesville, FL) is Josef Brenner, another
great rider. And speaking of great riders, Dave Fulkerson rode the #93 MG
CYCLE 750 to a 2nd and a 5th at Deland, and a 7th and an 11th (still haven't
seen final results to confirm) at the Speedway - all of which we are really
happy with considering it was our first time out with the bike. Since it
was our first time out we discovered several problem areas on the bike that
need attention, some we could fix at the track, some we need to work on in
the next couple weeks, but most Dave had to deal with, and he did a fine job
of it. We are really lucky to have a rider of Dave's caliber on the bike,
makes us look good. All in all it was a great time and a real learning
experience. Looking forward to making the improvements and running it
again, probably in Oklahoma next month.

The unidentified and very fast red frame/green body V7 Sport shown in the
photos next to Dave was brought over from Japan for this event. I heard
this was their 2nd trip to Daytona with the bike. These friendly guys
weren't goofing around and their finishes showed it. Very fast, very trick
with lots of electronic wizardry and hand made parts. Smoked us. We
thought we had a nice looking Guzzi until we saw what they brought. Several
other Guzzi racers out there too - Ken Pitts, Charley Cole, Jeff Gundlach
and his brother (?), maybe more. Was nice meeting these guys, some for the
first time, and nice seeing so many Guzzi's racing. Had a really good time.
And then there was Camp Carlo! Good food, good drinks, good entertainment,
thanks for the hospitality!

Gordon

Here's some photos from last week at Daytona. They're mostly of M G
Cycle's bike but a few others are mixed in.
If anyone can help me with the smallblock owner/rider name and the
spineframe guy, it would be appreciated.
