I applied the mercury sticks to the Eldo SP, got it to idle and balanced
the carbs with the throttle just cracked. Took a little two mile ride
to the gas station for baby's first fillup (two gallons is enough for
now). The motor was smooth but as the bike warmed up the idle went up
too. What is the formula for a consistant low idle? I am a city boy
and ride in traffic if I am going to ride at all.

Tomorrow's agenda includes more of the same plus some bleeding for the
front brake. There is an air bubble in there somewhere.

The timing gears in the '77 SP motor are loud but it's a cool noise. It
compliments the high noise/low restriction MAC mufflers and the big K&Ns
under the seat.

If I want quiet progress I can always ride the Jackal.
