Well, I just rode a Roadking. A guy at work FINALLY rode in. Let me bump
around town on his roadking. I haven't been on one of these since I
worked in the M/C industry. Let me tell you! Whoo Hooo! Fuel injected,
cruise control, nice brakes, power, So much chrome it makes you squint
just to look at it, every little do- dad one can think of. Clean(I think
even the contact patch on the tires was clean), Sterile, uneventfull,
conformist styling, run of the mill ride.
NOPE, I have to say that I WILL be keeping my pride and joy. Just
kidding about trading in and up.
If there was one thing I got out of the bike was that it reminded me of
the love and labor of the loops. Definatly fits the fatcat personality
of "let someone else take care of it".
Everybody out there that gets offended by this--DON'T! Just my opinion.
The roadking might be good as a backup bike to the Guzzi but that's
about it. Don't know why all the Hub-bub about the new H-D's, I think
they built the personality right out of 'em.
Allright enough brand bashing.
