Same thing with me...except I ride a 69 Ambo. Also I installed UNI's on my
70 Ambo with no adjustment to the jetting....runs fine.

My '72 Eldo has K&Ns pods with stock jets in the carbs. Since I've
never messed with the jets, I'm not sure if other sizes would help/hurt.
But my plugs are a nice gray color and the bike seems to run
pretty nicely.
