Hi Joe,
Well, Monday the 20th my brother calls and says the guy that he's delivering an Audi diesel engine to has three Guzzis he'd like to get rid of. I figure they'll be V50s or something and the price will be high. In fact it turns out to be two Ambos (one an ex-copsicle) and a black w/black '73 V7 Sport. The Sport is complete and original with 17k miles on it. The owner rode it into the garage 10 years ago and never since - it wasn't "mothballed" at all so it will need some work. The Ambos are partially disassembled and don't have titles, but I think the Sport alone is worth the $1500 I paid even if I have to spend another grand to get the collection home.

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to fall into a deal like this. I guess it helps to have a brother who travels a lot and comes in contact with folks who own an assortment of interesting vehicles. Something in my current collection of vehicles will have to go to repay my brother, so it'll be the '90 Audi 90 recently purchased for $100 (but that's another story).

I too am already planning for Mid-Ohio and will have the '71 Ambo presently under restoration there. Definitely need to plan a get-together, hopefully this year minus the thunderstorm! Cheers,

Charlie

 Charlie,
Please, tell us more about the deal you made in So Cal with
multiple Guzzis. Inquiring minds want to know!
On another note, I'm already planning on Mid-Ohio. Hope we can do
another Looper Get-Together. Planning on bringing my Sport this year.

Joe in St Louis
