Hi Chris,
When the stockers were leaking on the '69 Ambo, I replaced them with ones from a V65 (part nos. 6510 5400 & 6510 5401, approx. $14.95 ea.). The required adapters are available from Moto International (part no. 1210A, $9.95 ea.). You'll have to use inline filters since the adapters don't allow the original "strainers" to be used. You will have a reserve position on both sides then, that's nice.

Last year (when they were five yrs. old) the V65 petcocks leaked a drop or so every time I moved the lever. I disassembled them, used fine emery paper to sand the sealing surface of the lever flat and smooth(er), then polished it with my Dremel. Put a little dielectric grease on the rubber seal, reassembled and presto! no more leak. Cheers,

Charlie.

I seem to remember numerous posts a while back about leaky petcocks. I need
to get a set (the project is coming along). Any suggestions on a set that
don't leak?

Thanks,
Chris
