Subject: changing points help

I got the bike back from the guy who was supposed to be
selling it and the points appear to have fused shut. When
I tried cranking it, of course one of the contacts came
off the assembly. I can't for the life of me figure out
how to get them out without removing the distributor and
it still looks like a PITA. My good manual is still with
him (he's supposed to mail it to me) so i have no
reference. Can someone explain to me how to get them out?
I can see a nut and bolt that appear to hold them in by
the spring but they are so shallow I can't get a grip on
them.
