I have the opposite trouble of most. My loop runs too lean!!!
It starts and idles and runs down the road beautifully...but the plugs
are clean as can be, white as the snow!!!
Everything is rebuilt, I've intalled 160 mains (after 147's & 150's) and
47 pilots (45's to start) with the needle in the middle position. I had
the needle in the bottom clip (highest position) and it was doggy but I
still could not get any color on the plugs doing plug chops at 4500 rpms
at 3 mile lenghts.
I tried running with the mixture screws turned out 2-3 turns which hurt
the idle but added a touch of black on the plug rim.
I've checks for leaks around the intakes/carbs using WD40 with none
detected!!!
