I'm happy to report that the race bike fired right up this evening. I knew
the Guzzi would fire, but I was concerned about the 38 mm Mikuni's & how much
fiddling it would take to make it idle & run well. I must be living right, the
bike cranked in about 3 revolutions & went into a fast idle. After just a
couple of minutes adjusting the air mixture & idle screws it settled down into a
nice smooth idle. A few passes up & down the road & the bike runs great, pulls
very strong & the new 2 into one exhaust sounds great. I'm going to run it a
couple of times this week, torque the heads, finish up a couple more things &
then its off to the races next week.
