Ron,
Thanks for putting together a SW gathering, Here are my suggestions for
possible meeting spots:
1) Famous Anthonys in Crystal Springs (www.famousanthonys.com) has diner
type food and a low key atmosphere.

2) Awful Arthurs Seafood in the Towers Plaza (www.awfularthurs.com) is a
bit more upscale, but has a lot of room (layed out like a sports bar).

The Twin Valley Riders have had gatherings at both of the above places.

3) There is a place called 'Mac and Bobs' in 'downtown' Salem that is
reasonable and has a large lounge area. Salem also has a Macados.

Geographically speaking I'm partial to a Salem location because it's
closer to home, but I realize it's on the wrong side of town for anyone
coming from the North and trying to avoid the 81. I like the atmosphere
at Famous Anthonys but if you're expecting a crowd, Awful Arthurs may be
the best compromise of my suggestions.

In any case, I've marked Feb 21 on my calendar.

Guzziesti in the Roanoke VA area,
I need ideas for a restaurant to hold a first SW VA Guzzi get-together.
I'm
thinking about a lunch gathering the 3rd Saturday in February (2/21/04)
about 11:30 A.M. This is just to get something started, the group will
decide on what the gathering will ultimately be (breakfast, lunch,
dinner),
what day of the week it will take place, and where.
If you think you know of a place, please check & see that they are not
normally packed for Saturday lunch, and if they have a meeting room or,
at
least will pull some tables together for us.
I'd like to send out invitation postcards to all the current & former
MGNOC
members who aren't on the list &live w/in 120 miles of Roanoke, so
please
get your suggestions to me ASAP.
Thanks much,
Ron Komoroski, MGNOC Rep for VA
