Must be some Loop virus going around Virginia. I was just out packing
up the Eldo for the VA rally tomorrow, changed the oil, greased
everything up, and was making a final check of tire pressure....and spun
the back wheel and found that it has about 3/4" of runout; I can grab
the top and bottom of the wheel and rock it back and forth on the axle
at least that much.
I guess that means shot wheel bearings. It was good of it to not let go
on the highway, but there's no way I'm riding it like that (funny that I
couldn't feel the wobble on the ride home from work today....oh well).
So now I have to reassemble the Centauro, which is hanging from a chain
fall in the back of the shop having a new tire mounted and new rear
brake shoes and getting the drive shaft greased, and the whole back end
is apart and it's 11:00 PM and I still have to fix it and get packed so
I can leave for work in the morning and head for the rally in the
afternoon....
Won't be the loopframe but it'll be a Guzzi so I guess I'm not too bad
off...
