My son isn't yet old enough to drive, so we trailer a pit bike down. We
always end up bringing home some kind of treasure (junk) from the swap
meet so, I guess it all works out. I would love to be able to ride down
with the Detroit bunch someday.

You've got a nice collection going there! The Beemer sounds interesting.
I'd like to run across one of them for sale at reasonable cost someday.

I should be picking up a nice Sears/Gilera 124 within the next few weeks.
It has nice original paint and chrome and the engine looks real good too.
It's missing the carb, and it hasn't run in many years, but it looks like
it should end up being a real nice little bike.

Darrell,
Thanks for the info, just looking at the Italian singles that I've
seen, I thought that maybe they were all made by the same company. I
rode my 73 Eldorado to Mid Ohio, but luckily, my son is now old enough to
drive, so he drove the Ford/trailer combo and hauled a few of our other
bikes out, one of which is my 1968 Sears 124 Gilera. Like your Ducati,
it is a perfect pit bike for that event. The other "small" bikes I have
are a 1951 BMW R25, and a 1966 Ducati 250 Scrambler, both of which are in
dire need of a restoration, most likely will be winter projects over the
next few years. My Sears bike is a real gem, runs great and looks great.
Someday, it would be nice to find a Guzzi single....
