What a hoot we had at the Thunderhill AHRMA races this weekend here in
hot northern California.

Ed Milich on Guzzi LM1 and Cagiva Alazzura.
Sean Fader on an Eldorado base.
Miles Carnahan on the beloved Dondolino.

All three took home trophies of one sort or another. Even Miles got a
trophy in his first ever race. Sean Fader rode the wheels off the
Eldorado and was only just barely slower in lap times than the LM1.
Poor Ed had a minor low side on the Cyclone Hill turn when a poorer
rider chickened out in front of him and slammed the door a little too
quickly. The other guy was faster on the straights, but Ed just ate him
up in the curves on the Ducati/Cagiva. Ed was just about to blow by him
on this compound, off-camber, corkscrew-copy hill when the passing space
just disappeared. Oops, I hope Alice isn't too upset about the modified
cosmetics of her bike. No serious harm.

We had a terrific time at a very low-key and congenial track. Had a few
extra Guzzisti visitors drop in and share time with us. Looking forward
to next year already! I hope Miles or Leonard Loyd will post some pics
for you all to see.
