I've written, produced and directed a few documentaries for Speed ...For better or for worse, I've got a regular job now as a 'gubmint contractor, but would love to do some Loopframe Guzzi Moto productions...With the aid of the Guzzizti Master Mind Group, anything you can imagine is possible...</P>
<P>Aren't we talking about the marque that won the Isle of Man, trials, hill climbs, countless GP duels, coming in 1,2,3 in some events? Wasn't a loop the fastest production motorcycle back in the day...Didn't the MG Cycle race team of <FONT size=2>Art Daley, Ace Malott, Dave Fulkerson, Gordon Kline and others</FONT> travel the country using all their skills and powers to win<FONT size=2> both the AHRMA Formula 750 and Formula Vintage class championships just two years ago?</FONT></P>
<P><FONT size=2> If you read the story on the MG Cycle website, you'll find that they had lots of problems, but they overcame those problems, and if you check the record book, it says in there that it was a Moto Guzzi, not somebody else's motorcycle, that crossed the finsh line first...Every so often, I bring up the V-8 racer sound file on the box and just groove on it. You KNOW what make that bike is as soon as you hear it...</FONT></P>
<P><FONT size=2>I know, I know, the marketing isn't as good as it could be...Guzzi is a second choice at some dealers...They're not into racing...The home office doesn't give the support it should...New stuff is in the pipeline...Yadda, Yadda, Yadda...</FONT></P>
<P>Still, what really flames my cheeks is that such a wonderful motorcycle, a truly beautiful design, with such a rich racing heritage be allowed to languish and be ignored with its glory days behind it...Think of what Moto Guzzi could be...But I also think about what Moto Guzzi is-great motorcycles and great people all over the world who love 'em. I've met guzzi people in airports, gas stations, bars, traffic lights, you name it. They always have that twinkle in their eye and wistful look when they tell you about their Moto Guzzis...</P>
<P>If the TV personalities who "represent" motorcycling and the channel programmers ignore one of the greatest of motorcycling's marques, so be it...I could be cynical and say "f*** 'em all but six, and save those for pall-bearers," but that would be unkind...And, I'd be missing the chance to help educate and carry the message...Think about the Loop Show...Charlie, Thanks for the Dreamsickle picture-you made my day...</P>
<P>If this screed seems a little fervent, I may have had one Rice Krispy bar too many, guys...I'm going to check my blood sugar and see if my new 850-T oil supply lines came in from MG Cycle...<BR></P>
