Hi Ray,
I use Bel-Ray Gear Saver 80w90 in both trans. and rear drive. I use
160cc of lube and 20cc of Power Punch or other moly additive in the rear
drive. Usually mix it up in a Ratio-Rite measuring cup first, then pour
it in.

If you store the rear drive flat on the side that goes towards the
wheel, you might want to elevate the input end a bit and spin it with
the other parts. Bel-Ray with moly in it will coat everything inside and
help resist rusting during storage.

I feel your pain about the checkbook particularly now that heating
season is here again! Luckily, I have nearly everything except for the
bodywork painted. Cheers,

Hi,
I've been using Bel Ray Gear Saver 85-140 in my bike's transmissions
(Harleys & Guzzis) for 10 years or more. This is my first Eldo and
oldest Guzzi I've owned. Does anyone have experience using Bel Ray in
their loop trannies?

How about rear drives? If so, would you add moly to the Bel Ray and in
what ratio?

One more - My rear drive is off bike and on bench for maybe several
months. Of course, it gets stored lying down. Can I put a small quantity

of fluid for lubrication during storage without it running out? The
motor has assembly lube and I spin it a few turns every couple weeks.
Tranny has minimal lube and I spin, also. Gives me something to do while

waiting for the checkbook to fill up again.
