hey cam,
buy it. they are a ton of fun and parts are way cheap.plus the ease of a two stroke to work on. www.scooterworks.com is a good place for parts, they are in chicago. www.americanscootercenter.com is another good place, they are in texas. the stella scooters metioned are built in india, just like the bajaj scooters. a ' 61 or ' 62 vespa will be premix(gas/oil mix) the 150cc engines have good power and are good for about 50 mph. it'll prolly be a 4 speed scoot. you shift on the grip! i have a ' 77 small frame 50 cc model i am currently playing with and i also ride with the D*Tour scooter club here in detroit. www.dtour-sc.com they have a forum and are a really good source of info. just sign up on the forum and start asking away. tell them sam sent you cuz they luv old guzzis too. if you have any other ?'s feel free to ask
