I found a web site for MG's that has a good write up on generators
and regulators. It is www.mgaguru.com/mgtech
Look in the electrical technical area. Really good write-up. My
regulator is sparking constantly above idle. New regulator, it welded
the voltage limiting Normally Open contacts closed. Arcs as the revs
increase. I may try the electronic regulator next, also shown in the
website above.
