Actually if you follow the diagram the 4 ways go thru the toggle on the
dash. 1 position is normal operation and the other is 4 way flash. The front
and rear lights operated off the switch on the right side handlebar.
Sometimes the siren would also operate off this switch depending on which
switch was used. The right side push pull on the dash is for the coil
disconnect to allow for killing the engine but leaving power to the lights
etc and the left side push pull is for the courtesy light that mounts to the
windshield for night time ticket writing etc.

If the 73s were like the 71s, it will have a four way flasher actuated by a
push-pull switch on the dash. Both 71's I've owned were set up this way,
there was not a front flash only option, but you should be able to wire a
parallel circuit if you wish.

Hi Guys,

Can anyone give me some tips on the electrical features on a 1973 police
Eldo? I am trying to figure out the following:

Was there a 4 way flasher provision?

Was there a way to make the front lights only flash?

How were the spot lights turned on? Was there a switch on the dash?

I ask these dumb questions as I am restoring this model bike. I bought it as
a basket case and it didn't have any switch gear with it, so I am not sure
how the lights are supposed to work. Any "Enlightenment" would be most
helpful.
