I'm sure I've seen this topic covered in the past few months, and expect
the worst, but in restoring my 68 V-700, it just became painfully
obvious that my taillight bracket was "butchered" by some prior owner.
The top section which attaches to the frame is missing....he simply
drilled a hole through the taillight bracket into the fender
(off-centered hole as well!).
I know the suggestion is to use a later Eldo style bracket, but since I
am striving for a correct as possible finished product, I was hoping
someone on this list would appreciate that & point me in the direction
of anyone who would be willing to part with the correct bracket for a
V-700......anybody out there parting this out?
