Hate to repeat myself, but if the bearing has failed, the little
internal broken bits act like a wonderful grinding paste. The first
thing they will attack is the outer body o-ring. Might be a good
indicator of bearing loss. Easy enough to verify if you just pull the
swingarm and pull the outerbody.
