Adjusted the front brake cable some more, will have to test it once I
get the petcock fiber washer and get that fuel leak fixed. All the gas
has been drained, so she is stationary until that gets fixed.

Blinker problem turned out to be a bad ground, I believe. I the switch
and wiring for continuity and all was well. Re-installed it and
tightened down the bar end blinkers (after installing a new bulb in one
as I dropped the bulb when taking it out and it shattered!) and
everything worked. I think perhaps I had a weak ground in that right
blinker housing assy that corrected itself when I was messing with it.

Ordered some mercury refill and the correct 6mm adapters for my carb
stix. Should be here mid next week while I am on business travel. Will
try my hand at synching/setting the carbs next weekend.

Just got the kids down so I'm off to the garage to adjust the shift
linkage. I'm sure the shifing was part operater induced as I am getting
used to this civilian style heel-toe shifter, but this was also my first
trial with the new shift offset bracket and linkage so I'm going to
tighten it up a bit to get more positive shifts.

Now for the crazy oil light problem. I pulled the wire off the oil
pressure sender while the key was "on", and can you believe the light
STAYED ON!! I double checked to make sure I didn't cross the gen light
with the oil light, but that light too stayed on. So, I think I must
have a short somewhere along that oil light wire that is keeping it
constantly grounded, which is why it is always lit. Unless for some
reason this original speedo operates differently than the non-OEM Veglia
that was on this Ambo when I got her. I'm off to the garage to see how
the hot lead and ground play with this OEM speedo, then will check the
oil sender wire for a short.
