Better check your wrist pin fit in the conrods. I had an engine do this several times (=$$$) before I noticed the loose pins.

Yep, right
cylinder and piston are severely trashed. Evidently seized as I had
surmised - big gouges in the cylinder wall with lots of piston bits
fused around the top and stuck rings. Found that the piston skirts had
been knurled at some point, probably in an effort to reuse parts that
shouldn't have been. Ever since I got her running that first day, there
had been a tapping noise on the overrun sort of like excessive valve
clearance on the right cylinder. In retrospect it was likely piston slap
from a worn skirt. Should have pulled the cylinders off when I had the
heads done. But, since the rest of the engine looked inside like the 20k
miles engine it was sold to me as, I didn't. 20/20 hindsight...
