Unfortunately its too late. I removed it and had to take off the
back of the transmission to put it back in. But, I had no idea
how to adjust it. I'm pretty sure I got the shifter back on
right as I had lines marked on it. But the main problem here is
that 5th gear won't engage properly and I have no idea why. If I
need to I'll take everything back off this Saturday but I'm
hoping I don't need to.

| DO NOT screw with the shifter offset in the transmission. Sounds like you just put the linkage onto the back of the transmission and missed by one spline tooth. Remove the linkage from the back of the transmission, move it by one tooth and reinstall. Patrick Hayes Fremont CA |
