Hi Tom,
Stock location was just ahead of the generator in the semi-circular area
of the frame bracing below the steering head. Attaches with an M8 x 20mm
(?) socket head cap screw (allen head) through the hole above the
semi-circle. O.E. was a Marelli unit, I used one from NAPA made by Fiamm
for a close match on my '69. It was listed in their catalog as a warning
horn for industrial equipment, not as a vehicle application. Nice gold
cadmium plated unit (could be painted black for stock look), with a
"Roadrunner" (the cartoon one) beep sound. Plenty loud if a relay is
wired in. I can try to find the part number if needed.
I'm very happy with the Hella units on my '72, but their location (and
looks) may not suit everyone. Greg Bender has mounted dual Fiamm
"snail-shell" style horns in a location similar to your present horn.
Check out the horns on Jack Arnold's 850GT on my website (it's Loop of
the Month for July). All depends on what you like I guess.

I'm fairly certain it isn't stock :). I can't seem to find a picture of an eldo with the horn clearly delineated.
