Hi Charles,
You can use a reflector/bulb (non-sealed) unit instead for better
lighting. These can be found numerous places - JC Whitney, Dennis Kirk,
MG Cycle, eBay, etc. You'll want a 7" reflector for a H4 bulb. I'm using
a 60/55 watt bulb wired through relays and it's plenty bright. If you
have the stock "snuffbox" handlebar headlight/horn switch, you'll want
to wire in relays too to avoid melting either the switch or fuseblock.

Yes, the choke (enricher) lever came o.e. on your Ambo. You can find
them used or buy one new that is an almost perfect match from MG Cycle
(http://www.mgcycle.com).

The o.e. starter button was mounted to a teardrop shaped plate which
attached to the pinch bolt of the brake lever perch (as you surmised,
just under the throttle). MG sells a repro button and someone here
probably has the mount lying around.

I can measure a set of stock 'bars tomorrow if needed. Cheers,

My new question is does anyone knows where to get a new sealed beam
headlight "Motorcycle" for Ambo. I know Bosch makes one under part #
HH4 I think, but I have not been lucky while checking on auto parts
stores...

Question: I happen to notice on some Ambos a Handlebar choke lever, does

this lever also came stock on my Ambo ??? (VIN 25944, Oct. 1971)

Does anyone knows where the starter button originally is located on
Ambos ??? Mine has been couple with the side cover knobs on the left
side... I saw different pictures where I think it was mounted next to
the throttle handle...
