Thanks Greg..

how much material is there on a new set of shoes?? mine have got about
3-4mm left - hows that compare to a new set? at a guess I'd say they're
nearly worn-out...

Neil.

Hi Neil,

One thing I recommend is to clean and lubricate all the pivot points.
That made a tremendous difference on the single sided (two-leading shoe)

front brake on my Ambo. Other than that, I don't think there is much
else to go wrong.

I'm planning to pull the front wheel out this week on my 850GT for the
first time since I've had the bike to check condition of the shoes.. its

been a while since I've had a drum braked bike so is there anything I
need to watch out for when I take the wheel out... any particular known
problem areas I should look at when examing the brakes?? its got the
2-sided brake..
Neil
