NYC - North PA - Niagra Falls in one day?

The main route 80 East West in PA had lots of repaving going on in early June.
Traffic backups 7-10 miles in two spots past route 81

Check with AAA for construction areas

That is a long day. If you get a chance checkout the old steel mills in Bethlehem.
It is fascinating. You can follow the history of steel in America by looking at the
architecture of the buildings and how they evolved over the years. It is/was a giant
wateland when I saw it 3 years ago.

Heading up through western NY is Letchworth state park Grand Canyon of the East

Letchworth State Park is 35 miles southwest of Rochester, off I-390 Exit 7. For more information, call 716-493-3600.

Allegheny National Forest in Northern PA

There is Watkins Glen in the finger Lake area Lots of good roads with wide open sweeping turns.

Patrick,

1) as tom already mentioned, the period of 8/15-8/23, i hope you will be
riding at night. death valley in august will live up to it's name...

2) i live in jersey now, but lived in/around fort collins for 10 years
prior. i'd be happy to offer suggestions on food/bars, and would love
to see your full itinerary for colorado (i'm sure it's well planned, but
i want to live vicariously through you, and of course offer unsolicited
advice on alternate roads/paths to your desitination :-))

3) i live near newark and would be happy to help in any way you might
need. unfortunately, my italian is limited to asking for coffee, wine,
and cheese... if you've never been here, there are a few tricks to
making your drive near the cities less likely to disappoint foreign
clients.

looks like a blast!
