Big public thanks to LeighAnn Zaolino, NJ MGNOC rep for helping me find the obscure warehouse where my EV had been shipped to. Spent two days in Newark prepping the various bikes shipped from Italy. 97F and about 95% humidity in a dingy, non-ventilated warehouse. Shipping pallets, windscreens, mirrors, baggage, batteries, etc.

My EV just loves the 93 octane New Jersey gas. Hasn't pinged since arrival.

It was a true joy to ride through southern Manhattan, in full protective gear, at 97F ambient. A joy, because I had just come out of the Holland Tunnel with beep and creep first gear traffic. You can't imagine what all those car and bus radiators do to the tunnel air temp. My dash guage was reading 120! Surely, much of that was engine radiant heat, but you get the idea! Death Valley will be a piece of cake after this.

OH, how come nobody responded to tell me that the vast majority of parking garages in NYC prohibit motorcycles? Amazing what a little bribe will do for you.
