I extracted this information from Charley Cole of Zydeco Racing on the old Yahoo! Loopframe_Guzzi news group (which has now moved to Groups.io).
The distance from the top of the upper fork mounting hole to the edge of the fender is exactly 4.5 inch. This is from a 1974 Eldorado Police disk front.
This measurement is useful when converting a drum brake fender to fit on a disc brake front end.
