Transmission - 5 speed breather hose routing

It may seem natural to route the transmission breather hose directly to ground. However, this is a sure way to dribble gear oil everywhere you go. Instead, route the hose upward as high as it will go under then frame. Then route it rearward and the back down to the ground.

This approach allows the transmission to breathe and for the oil that gets flung up into the hose to return to the transmission via gravity.

Originally the 5-speed transmission vent did not have a hose attachment. You'll want to source a vent with a hose attachment...or modify your original.
