The spare parts catalogs list three different part numbers for this lever:
MG# 12090100: Edition 1 of the V700 spare parts catalog.
MG# 12090200: Edition 2 of the V700 spare parts catalog.
MG# 12090201: All other spare parts catalogs.
Thanks to Gerhard Ziesemann for sending me this information. In Gerhard's own words and photos:
I never had expected that there are completely different versions of clutch operating levers on four-speed transmissions. And not only the seat for the actuation bolt varies (hole of 6 mm vs. thread 8 mm × 1 mm, which is a metric fine thread), they also differ in length, with the result that they are not interchangeable:
This picture shows the later version (above) and the earlier on the same pivot bolt. You can see clearly the all-in-all length is identical but the SECTIONS are different. The earlier lever is taken from my 1968 V700 gearbox.

This shows the later on a transmission cover of a V750 Special (which can be identified by the different ratios of the 1st and 2nd gear), a matching pair.

This picture proves that the levers are definitely NOT interchangeable since the actuation bolt hits the cover.
