------------------------------------------------------------Hi Ken,they
I ordered my decals (white) for my Ambo#2 from Eish and I believe thatwere original transfers...I could be wrong though. I also ordered a setsure
(gold) for my #1 Ambo from Harper's and they look original but I'm notif those ones were original. They look good on the bike though. Onethat
thing.....the originals (from Eish) were a pain to work with...at leastis what my painter said.(as
Both sets look good once clear coated over.
While we are on the topic. The transfers that I got from Eish were whiteI already said) but there was a little blue in the decal. I'm not sure
not?that was original or not...I don't really care because it looks so coolbutI was wondering if someone might tell me whether that was original or

One other thing...I believe that there are two types of
finishedthat are clearcoated over and those that stick on after you have

Gold-Not original
White with the blue shading/drop shadow-Original, supposedly NLA if in
decals. V700s and early ambassadors had decals. Same as Stornello butare
larger. Later bikes were silk screened.
Might be wrong, but the way I always refer to transfers/decals/stickers
that transfers use 2 sheets of paper or whatever you want to call it. Youon
peel off the backing, apply it where you want it, rub the front paper, and
then peel it off leaving the transfer.
Decals have only a backing sheet, and you use water to soak it off, and
place it and let it dry (like my old Revel plastic models), or in the case
of at least the older Guzzi decals, use a decal adhesive.
I know that Guzzi used an adhesive of some nature, *I think* it was used
the V700s and early Ambassadors, as some of the Stornello decals that arewhite
similar use it. Also the "Corsa" type decals we managed to get (used on
Guzzi factory race bikes in the 50's with the very art deco eagle and
lettering), use such and adhesive.
Stickers have the backing sheet, but are peeled off it and placed. The
items I got from Domi Racer were on one sheet of square clear material, and
I cut around the eagle and letters so I didn't get a big block around thepainter.

They fish eyed badly. He thought it was due to the type of materialalready,
(vinyl??) or it's thickness. He had never seen anything like it happen
before.
FWIW, I am fairly close to having complete sets of all the original
transfers and decals, or in a couple cases the artwork and screens
for Stornellos, V700, Ambassador, and Eldorado. My thought is to be ableto
go to a supplier to have an order kicked out with quantities of all ofthem
in the stock colors. Time is the big restraint at the moment in getting it
all done.
